Fang Reading

So I finished it and just in time to not have to wait another week to work on it due to our vacation.

[WIP] Fang Reading - Half Done Shading

Probably could have posted some of this a long while ago, well I mean like a day or two ago, but here's some progress on Fang that I did. I wasn't able to do anything for a long while unfortunately because of school, but that's over now (for good, unless I want my masters). Anyway I'm trying something and I don't know what looks better:

Line work that is colored to match the object (that I probably need more practice with) or:

Line work that is all one uniform color.

EDIT: I think I got his legs looking better in the colored lineart one:

[WIP] Fang Reading - Clothing Colors

So, I've got a dilemma. I know what clothes I want on Fang, but I don't know the colors. I've got a few ideas, but I'm not sure for certain.

 These are the main ideas, I think I'm veering more towards the blues, but one I do that color scheme a lot and two I'm not sure if Fang is a cool color character. He is a huge fan of Kyte's football team, which is why I used the exact same blues as on Kyte, but again I'm not sure if I want to do it that way. It may be that a combo of the colors here is the best.

Took me like 30 mins and if I didn't complain about the other Fang drawing, I'd probably just add this version to the line art post like I did with Kyte. Oh well, it's in a separate post this time. It's my blog I can do what I want.

[WIP] Fang Reading - Base Lineart

Oi, so this one took me forever, sort of. So I've been working on this one since the 3rd, which is like 23 days ago, but this time it was less procrastination (well there was a little of it) and more school started. On the other hand, though, this only took about 2.5 hrs to get to this point and honestly, I'm thinking Fang looks pretty good right now.

Of course, if you actually were paying attention to me and my posts, you might notice there's about a week missing between me finishing Kyte and when I said I started this drawing. Well . . , that's because this is the second attempt at this drawing. After 8 hrs of work, I got frustrated and gave up. I hope you can see why.

I hate this, it looks like crap. I am so glad that the redraw came out so well with such limited effort.

A Bunch of Work Doodles

So following my uploading my doodles from work I decided to actually be productive on breaks for awhile and doodle headshots of guys who haven't been drawn before. Or at least haven't been drawn in a long while and needed a design update, in some cases.

 

This first set has effectively Kiff's friends. The top is the rottweiler Fang Torak and the bottom are teen and adult versions of Van Holtz who is a fox and gets the honor of being a main character in one of my stories.

 

This next set are the backup players in Theolis' clan. They make up the rest of Clan Wolfpaw at the start, alongside Theolis, Xano, Toran, Sarah, and Baither. In order, they are the lion Giovanni Desto, the otter/tiger Ty Monroe, the black wolf Adam Sage, the wolverine/panther Jeff Briggs, and the chocolate lab Maria Chara.

And finally, there's Trevor Wolfpaw, who is probably Theolis' cousin. They're not 100% sure on the actual connection and neither am I, but I think they share a great grandfather. I'd add more info on all these guys but I'm sure if someone was really curious they'd just ask me directly since it's not like I have any real followers.
